Top 5 Most Photogenic Locations in Copenhagen Center

Today we are bringing you our favorite locations that we think are the Top 5 Most Photogenic Locations in Copenhagen Center. There are so many beautiful places to photograph in Denmark, but we thought the heart of the city was the perfect place to get started. I’m shooting with my Nikon D800, but any camera will work for this walking Photography Tour!

Central Station:

It may be bustling but you will find no shortage of beautiful and architectural locations to shoot! Don’t forget to look up!

Rundetårn (The Round Tower):

With a beautiful and winding walk up to the top, you can see all the way to Sweden from the top of the Round Tower. Rumor has it that King Christian IV built the ramp up to the top because he didn’t want to have to walk up too many stairs. It is wide enough that his carriage could take him all the way!

Nyhavn:

Steeped in history, this row of colored houses and the harbor are one of the most photographed locations in Denmark. Don’t forget to stand on the bridge to get your own shot of the houses! (And check out our

Ice Cream video for two must-visit ice cream shops at this location!)

Amalienborg Palace (The Royal Residence):

Watch the changing of the guards at noon, get a view of the Opera House, and the famous church dome at Frederick’s Church. Watch for the Queen’s flag to be flying and the band along with the guards to let you know that she is in residence.

Kongens Have (The King’s Garden)

Expect 360° of pure gorgeousness here. No matter what time of year you visit there is always something stunning about The King’s Garden. All around the perimeter of the gardens you will find cafes and shops, so if the weather is nice we recommend grabbing a sandwich and picnicking like a Dane!
