DREAMING ABOUT SANSSOUCI

EDITORIAL AT SANSSOUCI PALACE Is there anything better than a location like a fairytale on a beautiful sunny day? That's why we decided to use this perfect day for our editorial shooting at parc Sanssouci. Sanssouci palace is the former summer palace of Frederick the Great, King of Prussia. The whole palace is designed like a more intimate Rococo style and reminds me totally of those gorgeous parisian architectures with it's breathtaking little details. Everything you see is true beauty and it truly felt like an fairytale. This location was just perfect for this editorial I've been planning for some days now. It's all about the good old glamour, strong and powerful woman and a high fashion look.

I created this special look to match this location perfectly so I decided to go with an all black lace dress. You can never go wrong with black lace if you're going for an super elegant look, that's for sure! In combination with this dark blue feather vest it gives it more this high fashion look that I was going for... I kept the details and accessories as simple as possible because it should all look super clean and elegant together. That's why I'm wearing my all time favorite glam statement earrings with a high ponytail so that they really stand out. I was thinking about the perfect editorial hairstyle for quite some time and also thought about big voluminous waves but I think a sleek and high ponytail gives this whole look more strength. While we are talking about strength it comes something in my mind. Strength is one of the most important properties a woman should have and I know we aren't born with it but we can work on it. This editorial is about a strong and powerful woman which has a lot of strength to manage her life all by herself and don't need anybody that doesn't need her. With the sophisticated dress and the strong hairstyle I tried to picture that woman for this special editorial and give you an inspiration of a strong woman. Strength is something that you have to build up over years and especially when you're going through a really rough time in your life. Sometimes we have no idea if it's killing us or making us stronger but believe me, it is making us stronger! Women are such powerful creatures and we could do so much even if we think we can't do it. You just have to believe that you can and you're halfway there. Even if it's taking some time... Always have your goal in front of you and you are going the right way.

You may wondering why I'm wearing all black for this editorial and no powerful color, right? Well, the answer is simple: Black for me is THE most powerful color (if you can call it a color). Black always look classy, elegant and chic - powerful, sophisticated and sexy at the same time. I truly believe in the power of black and just like Christian Dior said: ''Black is the most slimming of all colors. It is the most flattering. You can wear black at any time. You can wear it at any age. You can wear it for almost any location. I could write a book about black.'' Ladies, If you have no idea what to wear or what color to wear, always chose black. Don't listen to people who are saying black is a sad color. Always remember those wise words from the true fashion icon Christian Dior.
