Our Favorite Birthday Traditions

Do you have Birthday traditions with your family that you do every single year? We have a few things that we do with our children every year on their birthdays that we would like to share with you today!
1. The night before their birthday after they fall asleep, I tape streamers in a zig zag across their bedroom door. And then blow up balloons and place them behind the streamers. Then in the morning when they wake up and open their bedroom door, all of the balloons drop! And then they have to tear their way out of their bedroom! It's a lot of fun and my kids love it!

2. We also let them choose what they would like for breakfast. They usually choose pancakes or doughnuts.
3. Another one of our traditions is to tell the birthday boy or girl about the day they were born and what time they were born. It's fun to reminisce and it's fun for the child to learn about the day that they were born.
4. We let them choose what they would like to eat for dinner and what cake they would like
5. We do the candles and sings Happy Birthday!
6. We open presents!
They aren't the most exciting traditions in the world, but our kids look forward to them every year! Remember it's not how much money your spend, or doing something elaborate, the only thing that your children will remember is how you made them feel on their special day!
