Tid Bit: Rocksbox

As a blogger, every now and then, you come across something that is seriously cool; be it a new idea, a "pin" less found, or a company that reaches out to let you know who they are and what they do. This was true with the company, Rocksbox. Now, I realize that we have an overwhelming amount of monthly subscriptions that we can choose become members of: everything from magazines to organic food can now arrive on our doorstep, but when it comes to Rocksbox-this is something that you actually look into.

What to know more? Here's how Rocksbox Works: Once you sign up and completing a brief style quiz on the Rocksbox website, a stylist puts together a set of jewelry (3 pieces) and ships it out to you. (The shipping took about 2 days-super quick!) Once you receive you can keep the pieces as long as you like, and if you like anything in particular, you can purchase it at a discounted member price, plus you get $10 each month in “Shine Spend” to put towards a purchase. Ready to send back your set? Simple. Just reuse the package it arrived in, stick on the prepaid return label (comes with the box), and drop it in the mail; you’ll get a new set within days, and you can refresh your set an unlimited number of times in a month. The monthly charge is only $19 and you can cancel at any time. It's a lot like Rent the Runway, with the option to buy what you have "rented" at the end of it for a discounted price. PS- They sanitize every single piece of jewelry before sending it out, so when you get it-it either is new or as good as new.

When my Rocksbox arrived I was extremely impressed with the branding. Each of the boxes comes personalized with a pamplet (mine read: "Hey Erin!") that they wrote a brief paragraph with regards to why they selected a piece of jewelry they did, with a place on the right hand side for you to leave feedback by circling "love it!", "like it", "dislike", or "buy it", and leave comments if you wish to. The box was also adorned with adorable black/white chevron tissue paper and a very cute "R" sticker to make the overall presentation aesthetic pleasing. I had gone through the website (as recommended) and click the heart over certain jewelry that I liked, which added it to my "wishlist" so the stylist that put together my box would have a better sense of the kind of jewelry I would like to receive. I was so happy with the three pieces that the stylist had picked for me, I ended up keeping the Kendra Scott Grady Bangle in Iridescent White Opaque Glass, because it was gorgeous and went with every outfit I own.
One more thing. Think you'd be interested in trying it out? I have a special code that will give you one month for free-so go on try it out! NO STRINGS ATTACHED. Here's the code: shimmershellsxoxo
