Farewell, for now…

If you’ve been following the blog for the past few months, you know that they have been extremely busy and stressful for me. Planning a wedding and buying a new home/fixer-upper at the same time has proven to be a little more difficult than I had thought it would be. I have a new found respect for all of the bloggers I follow that juggle so many things (pregnancy, motherhood, jobs, weddings, buying houses etc.) and still manage to a. look fabulous and b. get posts up on a regular basis. Seriously, you guys rock! I want to be that kind of blogger but the truth is, I’m not. I work from home in sweat pants most days. I change into painting/work clothes at night and on weekends to work on the new house. If I were to post regular outfit posts, they would be a lie. They would be the “hey let me put on a cute outfit for 15 minutes so we can take pictures for the blog” kind.

I have come to the realization that I just don’t have time to keep up with it at this point in my life. Not only do I rarely wear post worthy outfits these days, but all my extra money is going to house things. Although blogging has always been fun for me, I’ve also felt pressure to put up the perfect post and wear the perfect outfit. It has caused me to spend more money on clothes to keep up with current trends and stay relevant. Wanting clothes will never go away, a leopard can’t change his spots after all, but hopefully a break from blogging will help curb the need a little.

So, it is with a heavy heart that I say farewell to blogging. Hopefully not forever, but just for a little while until I get it together. I hope that when I come back, you guys will still be interested in seeing what I am wearing.
