Summer Rust

Hey Everyone!

I did it! I did it! My first fashion post! - it's only taken a few years but here it is. I'm not the most body confident of people admittedly but we are all friends around here am I right? I know you'll all be nice! If you know me well enough you will know summer really isn't my thing...okay I like blue skies and flowers ...and scoffing double my weight in ice cream. I find summer fashion bloody awkward. I have a SUN ALLERGY. YES. Read that again. A SUN ALLERGY, Which only occurs in summer and causes a rash on my hands and arms, therefore I have to cover up. 1. First of all its HOT so wearing heavy clothing is just absolutely ridiculous. 2. Of all the clothing in the shops consists 90% of short sleeves. Primark had my back. You go Primark.

After screaming internally with excitement over the new Autumn pieces that are slowly being Introduced I hunted down some Autumn esque clothing that could be worn in Summer as well as Autumn, because lets be honest...Summer lasts about a blink in the UK.

I picked up a few bits and pieces but thought I would blog about them individually, so the first outfit is this beautiful rust coloured blouse and this stunning slitted patterned skirt. I've got no shoes on, I was about to head out and left them in my room, but you could opt for ankle boots, gladiator sandals, ballet flats, heels. The look is really versatile.

I don't know exactly how to describe the pattern of the skirt, it's got a bohemian/gypsy/festival feel maybe? It's floaty light material, perfect for staying cool in the summer. The shirt is loose fitting so again you can stay cool, I particularly love the colour I don't think I've worn anything in this shade before but I most certainly will be again.

Hopefully you're a little inspired!
