MY FAVE TECHNOLOGY AT HOME
I haven’t sat and watched You Tube tutorials leisurely for years, life’s just gotten busier and busier and now with the arrival of Cassius, I really don’t have the spare time to sit and watch makeup tutorials at all. Our day to day lives are constantly being influenced by technology and it’s now influenced ponce again, how I engage with social media.When Legal & General asked me to write about my favourite technology in the home, it was a no-brainer and I instantly thought of the device which has made the biggest impact of late. Thanks to a recent purchase I’ve been able to indulge myself. Our new Smart TV (thanks Samsung!) features the You Tube app (amongst others), so I’ve been watching videos from my favourite You Tubers on our big screen.
This is such a handy feature as whenever I’m on my laptop, Cassius crawls over to me, wanting to whack the keyboard or yank at the screen, ensuring that any browsing/blogging I’m attempting to do is interrupted. I can choose which videos I want to view from my mobile phone and like magic, they appear on the TV – it’s great. I’ve also been making playlists of his favourite cartoons from Baby TV to watch to keep him amused when I need to him to remain in the same spot for more than 2 minutes!
Gosh, we really have been spoilt with technology to the point where heaven forbid the Sky Box goes on the blink, due to bad weather, we almost have a complete meltdown. I vividly recall the days where four TV channels were the norm. Now we have hundreds to choose from – almost too much choice!
With that said, life is certainly made easier with all these gadgets and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
