Florals With An Edge

Personally, I love a good floral print and this Spring wanted to try and work in some girlier pieces, like this midi skirt. It’s perfect for Easter, brunches, or for a shower or luncheon as an alternative to a dress.

The tricky thing about wardrobe building is finding a way to make those standout pieces work with other items in your closet or looking for other ways to wear that dress you bought for one occasion.

I love adding a little edge to my style when I can. I decided to add some leather and these black mules with the skirt to make it wearable for more of a New York/downtown twist. I’ve been obsessively wearing this Everlane sweater and can’t wait until I can actually wear it sleeveless without a jacket!

With Easter and so many Spring events around the corner it’s nice to be able to make those pieces last beyond your special occasion by pairing them with things you already own. I’m sad to not be home for Easter (one of my favorite of the Spring holidays), but kind of also excited to spend it here in the city.

This past weekend was so much fun and per usual I’m sad it’s over – and also cannot believe March is over already. Time is completely flying, but I am on the countdown to my vacation.. just 9 more days!
