Hello Lovers: Brian Atwood & Sophia Webster :-)

Hey divas, so after evaluating the shoe section of my closet, I realized that I love pumps and have been focusing primarily on building a versatile collection of pumps over the past few years. There is just something so sophisticated and classic about a good pump! Anyway…because I’ve been mostly focused on building a descent collection of pumps, I’ve realized that I somewhat neglected my sandals. Don’t get me wrong, I have sandals, but I really wanted to build a more versatile collection. For me, after getting the basics (a black strappy sandal, a black basic sandal, a wedge, and a silver sandal for most evening gowns), then you can really start having some fun.

People sometimes think that you shouldn’t splurge on sandals because they can only be worn in the Spring/ Summer, which is only 6 months out of the year, but I think that is a weak argument. Many people don’t give it a second thought when it comes to splurging on boots, which they will wear probably for 3-4 months the most, so why not indulge yourself with something that you can get a lot of use out of for half of a year.

Now, I am not saying that all of your sandals have to be a spurge. I have a good array of cute sandals from Zara and H&M. What I am saying is that you shouldn’t feel guilty for treating yourself to a little Spring/ Summer fabulousity. My tip is… if you are going to splurge, make sure that they are worth splurging on, like a statement sandal. Also,make sure that you can pair it with various outfits so that your cost per wear is something that you are comfortable with. I love statement shoes in general, but especially a statement sandal because in the Spring/ Summer, we tend to want to keep our dressing as simple as possible due to the heat, but adding a statement sandal to a simple ensemble like shorts and a tee shirt, can step up your outfit 1000 folds. It will instantly turn a simple outfit into something more interesting and chic without looking like you tried too hard.

What I do appreciate more than a good statement sandal, is a statement sandal that is on sale!!! Yaaas divas! The first 2 sandals below I snatched them up on sale and couldn’t be happier with my choices. Although the last one wasn’t on sale, I thought that the design was just so unique and chic that I didn’t mind splurging, but I did have a coupon code (you know this diva loves a coupon code lol!) for an additional percentage off, which made me extra happy about the purchase.
