with fashion week upon us....actually, tomorrow. it made me think of how different my goals have become. years ago i would have told you that modeling was a goal of mine. now the camera actually makes me somewhat nervous. today i focus more on improving the subject that is in front of the camera. more specifically the nails.

but we all have our moments. take for instance the 2004 picture you see above. {insert up arrow here}. i had no idea what to expect that day. weeks prior i went to an M.A.C makeup event at nordstrom. the makeup artist i had was nice, professional & could work a brush. but aside from some small talk she didn't say too much. so imagine my surprise when she called me back a couple of weeks later asking me to model for her. she was working with a photographer & designer to build her portfolio & wanted to know if i would model in her pics. of course the answer was yes.

i found out the designer crocheted all her items. picture my shock. "cuz...whats going under this yawn bikini you asked me to wear???" & it was cold in that studio. ok...fast forward to 2012. i am alil more "experienced" modeling in front of a camera thanks to the wonderful world of blogging. i can respond well to requests that require me to 'relax my face' or 'turn to my left...my other left.' you know....model behavior. another plus...it was also cold out that day. imma pro ya'll!!

meanwhile, this year. new york fashion week spring summer 2014 {NYFW S/S 2014}...i am working with butter london to ready the {real} models for ten. count em!...ten fashion shows. last year i was fortunate to get a ticket to even one...what a change of events eh?!?
