Garlic Bread Video

What’s a classic side to serve with spaghetti and a salad? In our house and at family dinners growing up if the Garlic Bread was missing, it just wasn’t dinner. All of the kids would huddle around the buffet table just waiting for the warm garlic bread to come out of the oven and placed in big baskets. I’m pretty sure my brother John’s plate had 6 pieces of bread and a minuscule amount of salad and spaghetti, but how could you possibly resist something that smells and tastes so delicious.

To make this recipe all you need is really good quality french or Italian bread (this is the time to spend a dollar more for a good artisan loaf), smeared with butter, garlic and herbs, wrapped up in a piece of foil and baked to a golden perfection. It’s not only tasty on it’s own, but the perfect sponge for the remaining salad dressing and tomato sauce on your plate.
