BUHARI DROPS 'GENERAL’ TITLE AS TEAM RELEASES OFFICIAL PORTRAIT OF PRESIDENT-ELECT, VICE-PRESIDENT ELECT

President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari now wishes to be addressed as Muhammadu Buhari when he takes office as president on May 29, 2015, a statement by Garba Shehu, Directorate of Media & Publicity, President-elect Muhammadu Buhari Media Team, said Sunday.

The team also released official portraits of the incoming leaders of the federal republic, who ran on a promise to rid the nation of corruption and waste in government.

“From May 29, 2015 the President-elect and Vice-President-elect are to be respectively known and addressed as Muhammadu Buhari, President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria and Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the statement said.
