The event held at the Eagles Square in Abuja the Federal Capital Territory.Past Nigerian leaders as well as other world leaders converged on the Federal Capital Territory to witness the inauguration.
Moments before this, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, a distinguished Nigerian lawyer and Christian preacher was invited to the podium to be sworn-in as Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

This is Nigeria’s first transfer of power from the ruling party to the opposition since 1999, when democracy was restored after years of military rule.
