Time to Say Goodbye

Hello everyone,

After some deep thinking over the past few weeks, I’ve come to a decision to close down West Virginia Fashion. I’ve thought about maybe just taking a long leave of absence, but in reality I think it’s just time to say goodbye. In a month, I start back to college full-time–while still working full-time– and if I play my cards right, by this time next year I’ll have my college degree (one of them, at least). That means so much more to me than this blog.

I’ll probably still post from time to time, but it’s going to be rare. There’s a lot I’d still like to discuss, like West Virginia Flat Butt Syndrome. I’ve had this really unnecessary guilty feeling if I haven’t posted. I don’t know why, but I had some real anxieties over trying to take this blog to the next level. When I started writing, I knew my target audience was going to be very small, but over the almost three years I’ve been posting, I’ve gained an audience from over 120 countries. It’s just incredible to me that I can communicate across the globe from my kitchen table.

I’ve also had some other writing offers come my way that I’d like to explore, as well as getting back to writing for my personal blog, which I don’t think I’ve touched since I started writing this one.

For now, my email address for the blog and my Twitter account will still be active. I’d like to keep in touch with a lot of the amazing people I’ve met through this blog.
