Triple Threat Nude Lips
Over on my Instagram, I've started doing a little #30days30lips challenge inspired by the lovely LisaLisaD1 on Youtube where I post 30 different lip colours or combos everyday for 30 days (well, I'm going to do it 30 times just incase I don't wear makeup one day, I'm not putting it on for an Instagram photo... aint nobody got time for that!).
Anyway I thought I would share my first one with you all to introduce the series to you and simply because I think its a cracking combination.
This lip look is what I call my triple threat nude lips. Consisting of a nude liner, lippy and gloss it is classic, classy and ever so slightly 90s. A nod to my youth shall we say.
Yes that is a ginormous bruise on my arm and no, I don't know how it got there!
To create my triple threat nude lips, I start off with the absolute legend that is the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk. This pinky nude lip liner is ideal if you want to create that your lips but bigger look. I love how creamy it feels when it glides onto my lips and even when I'm reshaping or resizing the look of my lips (overdrawn a la Kylie Jenner), they still appear natural with this liner. Once applied, it is really long lasting, even through drinking and it doesn't bleed or feather at all. It is an absolutely must for lip lovers out there.
Following my lip liner, I smooth on a good layer of the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipstick in Boy which is a gorgeous pinky nude with a glossy but hydrating finish. Read all about this one in my review here. This lipstick adds some life into the lip liner on my lips and makes them look full and juicy.
To complete the look, I slick on some of the Chantecaille Brilliant Gloss in Lucky which is a gorgeous pinky nude shade with a hint of golden shimmer. For a gloss, it is pretty long lasting and has a comfortable, non sticky feeling on the lips. This is a very easy to wear lipgloss that would suit more or less everyone. I love the way that it makes my lips look plump and perfected. If you're looking for a gloss to add a third dimension to your nude lip look then it has to be this one!
This is the lip combination that I wear when I am wearing a smokey eye, when I'm creating a neutral look, wanting to look like a glam sex kitten (no, really!) and for when I don't really know what lip colour to choose as it literally goes with everything.
