WhatLauraWore: Bright Floral BoohooPLUS Maxi Dress
The feeling of love at first sight describes the way that I felt when I first saw the Amber Rose Print Maxi Dress from BoohooPLUS. I instantly knew that I just had to have it. I'm sure that I don't need to go into too much detail as the dress really speaks for itself... I'll just give you a minute to appreciate how beautiful it is.
Available from Boohoo in sizes 18 to 24, this dress is a real head turner and will be the envy of many women regardless of their size. The dress has a roomy fit with plenty of stretch in the fabric as well as an elasticated band under the bust to ensure an accurate fit and comfortable wear. It is floor length on my 5ft 5" frame, which gives it a beautifully elegant look and makes it as equally suited to an evening celebration as it does to a day time occasion like when I strutted down Brentwood High Street shopping in it last week.
If you're looking for a dress that will get you noticed for the right reasons at events, gain you plenty of compliments and most importantly, make you feel a million dollars then this is the dress for you.
The plunging wrap over V shaped neckline is super flattering and provides ample room in the bust for those with a bust far larger than mine and the black colour makes this dress so wearable for many.
My favourite part of this dress however is the vibrant floral pattern of the skirt part of the dress. It is simply stunning and so eye catching. I love floral designs anyway but to see them with such a gorgeous bright colour palette is fantastic. I feel so happy and smile from the inside out whenever I wear this dress and I cannot recommend it to you all highly enough.

The shoes that I'm wearing are the Truffle Collection Heart Toe Post Sandals that I actually bought on sale at ASOS. They're still available on sale here and you can take a closer look at them in the photos on the website. Essentially, they're flip flops with a huge black and gold heart on the toe post but they're so much more than that as they're incredibly comfortable thanks to the spongey yet supportive sole.
I had a cream and gold pair of these that I wore throughout the whole summer last year so when I spotted them online in different colours, I knew that I needed to order them for this year. I've already had so much use out of these already and April isn't even over yet!
The bag that I'm carrying is my gorgeous Lulu Guinness Lips Clutch. I have wanted one of these for YEARS and finally took the plunge last year and ordered one. They're currently available here on ASOS and I'd definitely say that they're worth it.
Out of all of my bags, this is the one that people comment on and compliment me on the most. Its a little bit quirky, a little bit there but the black keeps it looking sleek and sophisticated. It is the ultimate night out bag for me and the perfect accompaniment to this fun dress from Boohoo.
Boohoo have been going from strength to strength in recent years but they really came on my radar when they launched their fabulous plus size line which ticks so many of the right boxes for me. It is all about celebrating style at any size and is very much an extension of their standard line which is what many plus size women have been looking for in clothing stores for years.
BoohooPLUS have just launched an exciting new collaboration with blogger and model Nadia Aboulhosn who has co-designed her own capsule collection together with the boohoo design team. The collection comprises of 20 trend-led pieces that strongly reflect Nadia's own style from some sports luxe inspired androgynous separates through to minimal glamour pieces that are available in a variety of colour ways.
