Repetition Compulsion

She goes through phases with her clothes where shell love one piece and wear it--over and over again in a bunch of different ways--for several weeks, before moving on to the next item. Over the years, shes done this with her favorite embellished white tee, a printed skirt, high-heeled clogs, a black coat with an oversized collar, a vintage red silk dress, and once during sophomore year of college, I swear she wore a green and white tank printed tank top for three weeks straight. She always looks fabulous and if youre lucky enough to get in the way when shes cleaning out her closet, youll come home with amazing stuff. Anyway, whenever I wear the same thing several days in the row, I think Im picking up Caitlins habit of repeating the same piece over and over--and if Im lucky, Ill look half as good as she always does :)
