Here’s how I did in April:
1. Spend $0.00 1/2 the days of April
I spent 1/3 of the days in April. It’s not fabulous but it’s not terrible. March was atrocious so I am glad I did end up getting back into the habit of not spending. Honestly, checking a day off on my resolution calendar as it relates to this goal makes me feel SO good. It’s almost as good as a new pair of shoes I found at Nordstrom Rack on Saturday – Steve Madden for $29.90. Thankfully they were a need so I bought them and I love them. <3
2. Work out 900 minutes in the month of April
This goal is based on the #1800minutes challenge. In April I logged 645 minutes. It’s a bit shy of my 900 minute goal, but each time I work out I am able to keep going a few minutes longer. I think this will add up in May! It also helps that it’s sunny outside and I’ve started walking to/from work some days. Yay sun!
3. Complete the next She Reads Truth study
Done!
4. Transition into My New Practice
So far so good I think. I’m about to end my training period and I’m a bit nervous, but I LOVE what I’m doing. I hope that will help.
5. Stick to the Envelope System
Complete and total fail. Dang.
For May my goals are a bit different because I’ll be traveling two weekends out of the month. I love road trips and going out of town, but it does make the rest of my week pretty busy.
1) Read my book club, bible study and review books.
I have so many books I want to read, and three books I HAVE to read. For Book Club we are reading Me Before You. I’m a few chapters in and I really like it. For Bible Study we are going through 1,000 Gifts. I read this book several years ago, which makes me a little lackadaisical about reading it now. I know I’ll get a lot out of it if I just read it. Lastly, I’m reading a book to be reviewed called The People Factor, on relationships with those around you. I also like the parts I’ve read so far, I simply need the discipline to finish it.
Hopefully traveling will make this goal easier and not harder :).
2) Spend $0.00 1/2 the days of May.
Let’s keep this going. I need to get back on track in a major way! Again, hopefully two vacations will mean I won’t spend too much. One trip is home with my family and the other is camping. I don’t spend money while camping very often.
3) Snowball my Credit Card #1 Payments into Credit Card #2.
I paid off a credit card this week! Like totally paid off, $0.00 balance! I can’t believe it! Now I need the self control to not consider that a “raise” and instead put that money straight onto card #2. Whew!
