Due to the influence of their uber-cool creative director Jenna Lyons, J.Crew came to develop an unexpected high-fashion edge over the last few years. But according to an announcement from J.Crew CEO Mickey Drexler yesterday, the once strictly classic brand has decided to return to its roots. According to Fashionista, the trendier products will become less prevalent, receiving “a smaller percentage of the company’s investments…and (accounting) for a lesser percent of public perception.”
