My Five Favourite Lush Products

Top 5

It’s no secret that I love a good Lush haul. After basically avoiding their shop throughout my teens because I thought it smelled too strong from the outside (I was rather stubborn 15 year old..) I’ve had a lot of catching up to do, including working out my favourite products, because everyone has a favourite Lush product, amirite?

Although, that one can’t-live-without product is a lot harder to pin down than I first thought, ‘cause I bloody love so many of them. I know how popular their bath bombs et al are, but as I don’t have a bath in my flat (yes, it’s a hard life), the majority of my favourites comprise of skincare and shower bits and bobs.

I thought I’d share five of my absolute favourites – the pots I’d never hesitate to purchase again and again – ‘cause let’s face it, I’m never going to be able to narrow it down any more than that. I probably could have made this a top ten, but I’m trying to be concise here…

Mask of Magnaminty

I’ve already given this product a bit of love to here on the blog. This is my favourite mask, and I try and use it every week. I love that minty tingling feeling on my skin, and really feel it doing some good when I relax with it on my face, despite the fact it makes me look a bit like an alien.

Not only does it calm my skin, it gently exfoliates as I wash it off. Such a winner!

Big

I was a little skeptical about this product when I first felt it’s consistency. It’s a shampoo full of chunky sea salt, promising to plump up your limp locks, and my thin hair could definitely do with a bit of plumping, so I thought it worth trying out.

I won’t lie, it felt a little odd scrubbing salt on my head, but once it washed out properly and I dried my hair, I could honestly see that it made a difference.

As a gal with fine hair, shampoo makes a really really big difference – the wrong one will totally drag it down, or make it greasy just a few hours later, so when I find one that does some good, I like to stick to it! I’m all out of Big at the moment, which offers up a great excuse to pop down to Lush on Oxford Street…

Bubblegum Lip Scrub

This one is mainly here because I like to eat it. Ohh this is a tasty lip scrub! But it doesn’t just act as a mini dessert, it does a fab job of exfoliating and smoothing out my lips before applying any other products.

Just a little bit on the finger, a good scrub on your lips and then you get to lick off the remainder. It’s not a product that I use daily, but I like to keep it close for whenever I’m feeling a little flakey.

Yummy Mummy

I previously mentioned this product in my post about getting smooth legs for summer. It’s a limited edition that I don’t believe is available anymore, but I’ll be giving Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner or African Paradise a go next time I step foot in a store.

I use this most times I shower, slathering it on my legs and arms, and they feel absolutely heavenly afterwards, and totally attribute that to this silky stuff.

Salted Coconut Hand Scrub

This is a new favourite! I have fairly dry hands, which I realise have been made worse by lifting weights at the gym (which makes me sound like some sorta muscly so-and-so that knows what they’re doing, but in reality I just have sensitive little paws) so giving them a pamper every now and then is a necessity.

They feel great after giving them a good scrub with the Salted Coconut Hand Scrub, which gets huge plus points as I’m obsessed with any product remotely coconut-scented.

Now ladies (and the odd gent) – I’d love to hear about the products I’m missing out on so I know what to pick up next time I drop by! Please let me know your can’t-live-without Lush product in the comments.

(Totally aware there is a lot of Lush lovin’ going on in this post, but it certainly isn’t sponsored, just me being a fangirl)
