My Life in Print

Botanical

I’ve been excited to share these photos with you for a little while now! This week Oasis are launching their collection in collaboration with the V&A, and I got to style up a few of the pieces beforehand, ‘cause I’m a lucky so-and-so.

As you might imagine, the collection is centred around some absolutely beautiful prints, taken from eleven different botanical prints from the 18th and 19th century – I love a garment with a bit of a story behind it! They have managed to make the vintage prints look so contemporary on each of the pieces – I almost guarantee there is something for everyone in the collection.

Personally, I beelined straight for the prom-style dress (hands down my favourite item from the collection!) it’s feminine shape winning me over. Styled with a pair of pastel shoes, I strolled around the italian gardens in the sunshine. The perfect setting to show if off, dontcha think?

A good pair of printed trousers can never go a-miss, which is why my second outfit featured this floaty pair, styled simply with a blouse and sandals. And what better place to shoot them than at the V&A?

I don’t make it there as often as I’d like (West London seems like a million miles away when you live in North London..!), but each time I visit I’m not only blown away by the contents of the museum but the building itself. If you’re planning a trip to London and haven’t been yet – make it top of your list, along with getting your mitts on a piece from this genuinely very impressive collection!

And that could be easier than you think, ’cause Oasis are offering up one lucky winner the chance to win the entire collection plus an all-expenses paid trip to London, not bad eh? Click though here to find out the details.
