And now for a Superwoman Inspired Look

{Nasty Gal cape dress, Fendi heels and cuff, Edie Parker clutch}

I kinda die for this cape dress. And its $88 price tag. It totally shouts “on-trend Superwoman,” right? Right-o.

But as of late, I haven’t felt much like Superwoman because I’ve been spreading myself far too thin. Day after day, I find myself as productive as a sloth on valium (paired with whiskey on the rocks) because I keep saying “yes” to assignments I should be saying “no” to, poor planning and just racing from meeting to meeting — which all equates to too much running around, not getting anything done and grumpiness. Which ultimately leads to the dreaded “b” word: Burnout.

I’m not sure where I got these disease to please but it’s a point of contention for myself.

So this week, I started saving “no” more (my God, that’s hard for me!) and “si” to the things that matter most to me: My family, friends and health (and maintaing taut inner thigh muscles). I’ve been derailed as of late and want to get back on that path of working out in the a.m. (a combo of Pilates, Barry Bootcamp and weights/cardio), writing after breakfast until the kids’ pickup time and mommy mode until 7:30 p.m. (homework, bath time, cooking, etc.). I also wish to fit in seeing some of favorite gal pals for lunch because I feel like I’ve neglected some of you, which is a seriously crappy feeling. And I need to wrap up all my Christmas shopping which feels virtually impossible because I want to buy presents for everyone and their mom. The list goes on and on…

So do me a solid and please wish me luck getting back on track and feeling like Superwoman (or something more productive than a sloth on pharmaceuticals).
