Nosh Pants Pattern

A couple of weeks ago, Nosh offered 3 free patterns for women and 3 free patterns for children. I gladly downloaded a couple to try them out. The first one I've sewn up is the baggy trousers pattern for Elena.

I made them out of black polar fleece with black cotton lycra for the cuffs and waistband. They are the coziest pants ever and Elena just loves them. I think they're fun and a little funky. They are probably not the most flattering style of pants, but fun can win sometimes. The kangaroo pocket on the front is so cute and useful for warming hands. I'm sorry you can't see it very well.

The pattern is in Finnish so that creates a bit of a challenge. Google translate did a pretty good job for me. I'm still a little unsure if seam allowance is included or not. But it worked out for my skinny mini. I made a test pair out of an old hoodie. They aren't pretty, but these are just the sort of thing she needs to wear when we go visit her cousin's on their farm or go for hikes. Thick and warm, and no worries about dirt. I think I'll keep the blue pair in the car for throwing over thin leggings when an impromptu playground trip pops up.

I also downloaded the EMMA tunic which looks adorable. I can't wait to sew that one up as soon as Elena actually has some need for some more clothes. Maybe I can make one in a Christmas or winter theme so I can justify it somehow.
