To The Oils

First off let me say that I am in no way an expert at skin care by any means. To be honest I was never adamant about skin care until I witnessed how committed and vigorous my boyfriend was about his "regimen" (his words I promise you!). I've always dealt with minor breakouts and impatience caused dark spots from picking at things that really should have just been left alone--thus my search for daily cleansers as well as something to even out my skin tone and get rid of those dreadful dark spots. This led me to purchasing Palmer's Skin Therapy oil. There are tons of oils of every kind on the market (I suggest you find what works best for you) but I'm familiar with the brand and as someone just starting out, I decided it was my safest choice. Now as the skincare newb that I am I thought oil was the antithesis of what you should apply to your face but this oil by Palmers just sinks into your skin and over the 4 weeks or so that I've been using it I have noticed my skin is definitely a lot brighter and even in tone. As far as those pesky dark spots, they're stubborn and while they aren't gone I have noticed them getting lighter. Next up is this Ogx Argan Oil Weightless mist, what a treasure this is! I was recently on the hunt for something to add shine to my hair on a daily basis without making it heavy and greasy, and this truly does the trick. I haven't been using it as long as the Palmer's but it does add nice shine to my hair and is also a protectant against heat (perfect for pre flat iron use). Lastly, because this is getting quite long is this Cucumber peel-off mask from Freeman that I use twice a week to get all the gunk and build up out of my pores that a daily scrub doesn't quite do. Again, I'm new at this whole thing and what I've learned in my search for products on various beauty blogs is understanding what skin type you have is key. My skin isn't as sensitive as say my boyfriends, so I have a little lee way in what I can put on my face--meanwhile anything with a scent will probably completely break him out. I hope you've found this helpful!

P.S all of these items can be purchased at your local drugstore Target, Walgreens, CVS etc.
