What’s not to love about a shiny pink floor? Ummm – nothin’! Exactly. This sunny office belongs to NGRS Recruiting Company, and is one of the happiest, quirkiest yet highly sophisticated spaces we’ve seen in a while. Located in the centre of Moscow, near the Kremlin and Red Square, this workplace is set in a former factory of the famous Russian entrepreneur Savva Mamontov. The two main goals for the space were to maximise the amount of rooms for interviews and to achieve a memorable and an “important-looking interior”. Tick.

Crosby Studios sought inspiration from the theatre and Wes Anderson movie sets, creating a monochrome interior with delicious cotton-candy-like pink screed floors. Yes! Some of the crumbling walls in the historic building have been left uncovered to give a sense of time gone by. It’s especially striking where the un-plastered walls overlap with clear glass – two different materials from two different eras meeting each other, creating a museum-like atmosphere. Tick, tick, tick!

The arches and semi-circular steps are reminiscent of a city square, with the rooms resembling buildings. The tables and chairs are classic Vitra. The reception, arches, interview tables and the library were made to order at the studio’s production facility. Love. All of it.
