OMG! 8 days before Christmas! Can you believe it?! And I am SO LATE with my favorites! Another OMG! Yeah. I’m such a slacker I know. Anyway, I don’t know what you think, but I haven’t been using a lot of products lately and my skincare routine’s pretty much the same. I’m just glad that for the past month, my skin was somehow okay and I didn’t experience any breakouts whatsoever. Anyway, without further babbling, here are my favorites for the month of November. And again, apologies for the delay.

BODY

Burt’s Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme – I actually got this from an event then one day I saw Genzel’s post regarding this and I remembered that I still haven’t used it. I decided to use it and OMG, it’s by far the most moisturizing hand cream I have ever used. Srsly. It’s not greasy and it doesn’t feel sticky. I work online and I am always in front of the computer, 8 hours a day and my hands tend to dry easily. I just apply this and then I don’t need to wait for it to settle because my skin easily absorbs all of it and I don’t get any of it in my keyboard. The product is definitely a hit.

TOOLS

Tangle Teezer Compact Styler – It takes a while to actually comb all of my hair using this brush (despite how fine they are) but I still love how it feels like after. My hair never felt so smooth and straight right after brushing. My hair doesn’t shed, nor do I see a lot of hair strands getting caught at the bristle. I don’t see any of those. The prize was really worth it, to think that I used to believe that shelling out Php 500 for a brush was a bit too much.

‘Silicone Facial Brush’ – I actually don’t know what this is called but I bought this from Watson’s for my brushes (yes, makeup brushes) way back before I had my brush egg. But then I felt that the bristles were so soft and smooth and it’s very gentle for exfoliating. Of course it can be quite abrasive depending on how you use it, but I find it really useful especially for removing residue makeup.

MAKEUP

Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Airbrush Finish Foundation – This is the foundation that I got from Maybelline as a part of their challenge but because you know me, busy little me, I wasn’t able to do it. As usual. Anyway, this is a bit orange on me but I can make it work with my pressed powders. I like it because it has a nice coverage and it indeed provides an airbrush-like finish. I like how flawless it is.

Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Stick – I am not really fond of stick foundations or stick products (except for lipsticks, lol) because I have a normal-dry skin. I have this notion that they can settle into the fine lines of my face or that I will have problems blending them. But my niece Trisha, as well as her mom have been raving non-stop about this BB stick so I thought I should try it. And it was a hit. It’s my no makeup-makeup BB cream. Something I can wear if I want something light & quick. Coverage is sheer to light but it’s quite buildable. Doesn’t settle on to the fine lines and can last for a decent amount of time.

Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder – I was so totally in love with this product last year but for some reason this year, I stopped using it. I started using it again to set my under eye concealer and my T-zone, then afterwards, my entire face. It just gives you this beautiful glow that you don’t normally get with the usual pressed/loose powders. (Click here for my review)

Lorac Skinny Palette in ‘Nudes’ – This has been my goto palette for the past month. I love it because it has the perfect combination of mattes and shimmers. Further, the highlighter shade of this one is a matte shade which is perfect at least for me because I don’t like highlighting my brow bone with shimmery shades. These are really pigmented shadows and they’re worth it for the price. If you’re thinking about buying the Naked Basics palette but you find it expensive, or that you want more variety in terms of finishes, try this one instead.

Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in ‘Auburn’ – I wasn’t supposed to buy this really, but I saw a friend of mine with beautiful, bold brows and she used this particular product (not this shade though). And since I’m running out of my shade in my Look Beauty Brow Perfect Kit, I thought why not get it. I’ve been loving it ever since I got it and it’s very easy to use. Even a newbie like me when it comes to filling brows using gel products did not encounter any problems using this.

The Face Shop Style My Brow Pencil & ELF Treat & Tame Brow Gel – These are actually my brow combo when I don’t want to fuss that much about my brows. It’s my quick brow products and since my Heroine brow pencil is about to go bye-bye I decided to use my first love.

City Color Contour Effects – I really like this one but it takes some getting used to since this is really REALLY pigmented. You really have to tap your brush and blend right away otherwise you’ll end up having that large, diagonal streak on your face. It’s very easy to blend though it’s just not a beginner friendly. I would definitely use the ‘Contour’ shade with caution. The other two powders, however, are also very pigmented but I prefer to use a different bronzer and as for the highlighter, it provides a beautiful glow when blended well. It’s the one that I use when I really like to contour my entire face.

Nars Blush Duo in ‘Laguna’ and ‘Orgasm’ – ‘Orgasm’ is soo pretty. I now get the hype about this blush. It’s so pigmented yet you can never overdo it. It can already act as your highlight because of its golden sheen. The ‘Laguna’ bronzer, however, is the one that I use when I want to warm up my entire face after I just heavily contoured. But when I want to achieve that no makeup-makeup look, it’s also the one that I use since the shimmers in this powder is barely noticeable.

Maybelline Baby Lips in ‘Fierce N’ Tangy’ – My Baby Lips Dr. Rescue is missing (yet again) so I had to get myself a new lip balm (as if I need an excuse to buy one) and I find this really moisturizing. The scent also reminded me of those candies that I used to eat when I was a kid.

Avon Matte Lipstick in ‘Merlot’ – Definitely my ideal fall-red lippie. It’s matte yet it doesn’t dry out my lips and it feels so creamy.

Essence Long Lasting Lipstick in ‘Barely There’ – This has been my goto nude lippy for the entire month. Sometimes I use a lip liner underneath it but it’s opaque enough for you to use it on its own.

Shu Uemura 6 Princess Eyelash Curler – Decided to give my regular Shu a rest and started using this one all over again. And whaddayaknow, my love for this product has been rekindled and I’ve been using it ever since. It’s useful especially for those areas that are really hard to curl like the outer & inner areas. Also, it’s very convenient to use. It may take some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll definitely prefer it much more than a regular curler.

Beauty Cosmetics Expert Face Brush – The shape and is definitely similar to the RT Expert Face brush, but what I do love about this is that the ferrule is much slimmer so it’s better for contouring. If you are into really defining your features, then you need a contour brush and I would suggest that you get this one.

Zoeva Winged Liner & Fine Liner Brush – I really love these brushes for lining my eyes. But I use the Winged Liner (317) more if I really want to wing it out and the Fine liner (315) if I just want more subtler look. I also use 317 for my dipbrow pomade since the size and the density of the brush is perfect for applying the product.

Revlon Nail Polish in ‘Fearless’ and Essence Colour & Go in ‘Do You Speak Love’ – These have been my goto nail colors for the entire month. Perhaps I was influenced by my niece who wore nothing but red. Her lipstick was red, and her nail polish was often red. She pulls it off really nicely.

So those are all of my favorites for the month of November. I know that this post is way late and this went a bit longer than expected. (Oops..sorry.. I am trying to keep my posts shorter but I really can’t seem to do that, lol. Need to keep that in my NY Resolution!).

How about you? What are your favorite products lately? What are your November favorites? Do we have the same faves? Let me know.
